Most Common Issues (All Models)

• No power / blank screen: Replace all batteries with new alkaline (do not mix old/new); check polarity; for rechargeable models – charge fully; try AC adapter if supported.
• Cuff not inflating or deflates immediately: Ensure cuff securely connected; check for air leaks in hose/cuff; use correct cuff size (arm circumference matches range); batteries low weaken pump.
• Inaccurate or inconsistent readings: Sit quietly 5 min before measurement; arm at heart level, palm up, supported; bare arm (no clothing); avoid caffeine, smoking, exercise 30 min prior; use same arm/time daily.
• Error symbol appears during measurement: Refer to error code list below; most common: movement, improper cuff position, talking.
• Bluetooth / Omron Connect app not syncing: Enable Bluetooth; pair via app; keep phone within 3 m; restart devices; update Omron Connect app; ensure monitor powered on during pairing.
• Irregular heartbeat / AFIB icon frequent: Remain still; may indicate real arrhythmia – do not ignore repeated detections; consult doctor for confirmation (ECG recommended).

Common Error Codes (Omron Models 2020–2026)

• E1: Cuff pressure not reaching required level or air plug disconnected – check connections; reposition cuff; replace if leaking.
• E2: Movement during measurement – stay completely still; do not talk or cross legs.
• E3: Inflation pressure too high – cuff may be too tight/loose; check fit; manual deflate if needed.
• E4: Irregular heartbeat detected – measurement may be invalid; repeat after resting; seek medical advice if persistent.
• E5: Clothing interference or body movement – roll up sleeve; remain still.
• Er / Out of range: Reading exceeds monitor limit (systolic >220–299 mmHg or diastolic <40 mmHg) – seek immediate medical attention if symptomatic.

Wrist, Tubeless & Advanced Models Specific

• Wrist models (HEM-6181 etc.): Wrist at heart level (elbow supported, palm up); more position-sensitive than upper arm – inaccurate if below/above heart.
• Tubeless / HEM-7600T: Ensure cuff wrapped correctly (display on inside of wrist/upper arm); charge battery fully; sync via Omron Connect for history.
• HeartGuide (wristwatch-style): Wear snug but comfortable; calibrate periodically per manual; use for spot checks – not 24/7 continuous.
