Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before use. For personal home use only.

  1. Do not use on infants, children, or persons who cannot express themselves.
  2. Do not use while operating a vehicle or machinery.
  3. Consult your physician for interpretation of readings and diagnosis.
  4. Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm.
  5. Keep away from extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, and direct sunlight.

WARNING! This device is not a treatment device. Do not adjust medication based on readings without consulting your doctor.

Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the monitor components.

  1. Main Unit: Contains display, control buttons, and air hose connector.
  2. D-Ring Cuff: Pre-formed fabric cuff with metal ring and Velcro closure.
  3. Air Hose: Connects cuff to main unit.
  4. START/STOP Button: Starts and stops measurement.
  5. MEMORY Button: Recalls stored readings.
  6. AC Adapter Jack: For external power (adapter not included).
  7. Battery Compartment: Holds 4 AA batteries.

NOTE: Ensure air hose is securely connected before use.

Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Power on the monitor and set the clock.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity, close cover.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds until year flashes. Use START/STOP to adjust values, MEMORY to confirm and move to next setting (month, day, hour, minute).
  3. AC adapter (optional): Plug adapter into jack on side of unit, then into wall outlet. Unit will prioritize AC power over batteries.

CAUTION! Use only recommended battery type. Remove batteries if device will not be used for 3 months or more.

Applying the Cuff

Proper cuff placement is critical for accurate readings.

  1. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measurement. Avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking for 30 minutes prior.
  2. Remove tight clothing from upper arm. Sit with feet flat on floor, back supported.
  3. Slide arm through D-Ring cuff. Place cuff so bottom edge is 1-2 cm above elbow, air tube aligned with middle of inner arm.
  4. Secure cuff snugly with Velcro. There should be room for one finger between cuff and arm.
  5. Rest arm on table with palm up, cuff at heart level.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for an accurate reading.

  1. Remain still and quiet. Do not talk during measurement.
  2. Press START/STOP button. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  3. Monitor will display increasing pressure, then gradually deflate while measuring.
  4. Reading appears: Systolic pressure (top), Diastolic pressure (bottom), Pulse rate.
  5. Cuff deflates completely. Unit will automatically power off after 1 minute.

WARNING! If pain or discomfort occurs, press START/STOP to stop inflation/deflation immediately.

Understanding the Display

Low Battery Icon - appears when batteries need replacement.
AM/PM Indicator - shows time of reading.

Average: Press MEMORY briefly after measurement to see average of last 3 readings (if available).
