Preparation Before Use

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all parts are present.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press MEMORY button, use SET button to adjust.
  3. Apply cuff: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.
  4. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level.

WARNING! Do not use on infants, small children, or persons with arrhythmia without consulting physician. Ensure cuff is properly sized.

Taking a Measurement

Remain still and quiet during measurement.

  1. Sit comfortably: Feet flat on floor, back supported, legs uncrossed.
  2. Position cuff: Ensure air tube runs down center of arm.
  3. Press START/STOP: Unit will inflate automatically.
  4. Read results: Systolic, diastolic, and pulse appear on display.
  5. Interpret symbols: Hypertension or irregular heartbeat indicators if present.
  6. Store reading: Automatically saved to memory (up to 14 readings).

CAUTION! Do not move or talk during measurement. Wait at least 3 minutes between readings on same person.

  3. Memory full: Oldest reading is overwritten when memory is full.

Tip: Record readings in a log book for long-term tracking.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water.

  1. Cuff cleaning: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry completely.
  2. Storage: Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Battery replacement: Replace when low battery symbol appears.
  4. Air tube: Avoid sharp bends or kinks in tube.
