Safety Information

  1. Medical Advice: This device is for monitoring only. Consult your physician for diagnosis and treatment.
  2. Placement: Always place the cuff on your left wrist unless instructed otherwise by your doctor.
  3. Rest: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before taking a measurement. Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes prior.
  4. Positioning: Keep the monitor at heart level during measurement. Do not move or talk.
  5. Batteries: Use only specified batteries. Remove them if the device will not be used for an extended period.

WARNING! Do not use on infants, small children, or persons who cannot express themselves. Do not use during dialysis or if you have a pre-existing arrhythmia without consulting a doctor.

Getting Started

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back and insert 2 AAA batteries, observing the polarity (+/-).
  2. Set Date & Time: Press the CLOCK button. Use the MEMORY button to select the field and START/STOP to adjust values. Press CLOCK again to set.
  3. Apply the Cuff: Place the cuff on your bare left wrist approximately 0.5-1 inch from your palm. Secure it snugly with the cloth closure.
  4. Position Your Arm: Rest your elbow on a table so the monitor is at the level of your heart. Relax your hand with palm facing up.

CAUTION! Ensure the cuff is not too tight or too loose. Incorrect positioning is a common cause of inaccurate readings.

Taking a Measurement

For the most accurate results, follow these steps precisely.

  1. Prepare: Sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor. Rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Apply Cuff: Place the cuff on your left wrist as described in Getting Started.
  3. Position: Rest your arm on a table so the monitor is at heart level. Relax your hand.
  4. Start: Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will begin to inflate automatically.
  5. Hold Still: Remain still and quiet until the measurement is complete. Do not bend your wrist.
  6. Read Results: Your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will display. Note any warning icons.
  7. Automatic Storage: The reading is automatically saved to the current user's memory.
  8. Power Off: The monitor will turn off automatically after about 1 minute.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day, such as morning and evening, for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Review and manage your stored readings.

  1. Select User: Press the MEMORY button to cycle between User 1 and User 2. The user icon will change.
  2. View Memory: While in memory mode, press the START/STOP button to scroll through stored readings from newest to oldest. Each display shows the reading with its date and time stamp.
  3. View Average: After scrolling through all readings, the display will show "AVG" followed by the average of the last 3 readings taken within the last 10 minutes for that user.
  4. Clear Memory: To delete all readings for the current user, press and hold the MEMORY button for more than 3 seconds while in memory mode. "CLR" will flash, then all data for that user will be erased.

Note: Memory is retained even when batteries are removed.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures long-term accuracy and reliability.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe the monitor and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water or use detergents, solvents, or aerosols.
  2. Storage: Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, dust, and humidity.
  3. Cuff Care: Do not fold the cuff tightly or stretch it excessively. The Velcro closure can be cleaned with a soft brush if lint accumulates.
  4. Batteries: Replace batteries when the low battery icon appears. Remove batteries if the monitor will not be used for 3 months or more.

CAUTION! Never attempt to disassemble or repair the monitor. Do not use near strong electromagnetic fields (e.g., microwave ovens, cell phones).

Reset: Remove batteries for 1 minute, then reinsert. This will reset the device but will not clear memory.
