Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the main components.

  1. Main Unit: Contains display, START/STOP button, MEMORY button.
  2. D-Ring Cuff: Wraps around upper arm with metal ring and cloth hook.
  3. Air Tube: Connects cuff to main unit.
  4. AC Adapter Jack: Located on left side of unit.
  5. Display: Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse, icons for errors, memory, etc.

WARNING! Do not disassemble the unit. Use only the provided cuff and accessories.

Before First Use

Install batteries or connect AC adapter.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment on back, insert 4 AA batteries (not included) observing polarity.
  2. AC Adapter: Plug adapter into unit and wall outlet (for home use, recommended).
  3. Set Date/Time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  4. Cuff Practice: Practice applying cuff without turning unit on.

CAUTION! Use only specified AC adapter. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Measurement Preparation

For accurate readings, follow these steps before each measurement.

Do: Rest for 5 minutes. Sit in a chair with feet flat on floor. Apply cuff to bare upper arm. Position cuff at heart level.

Do Not: Measure after eating, bathing, exercising, or consuming caffeine/alcohol. Talk or move during measurement.

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported.
  2. Remove tight clothing from upper arm.
  3. Wrap cuff snugly around arm 1-2 cm above elbow.
  4. Ensure air tube runs down center of arm.

Taking a Measurement

Once prepared, follow these steps.

  1. Press START/STOP button. All display symbols appear briefly.
  2. Unit inflates automatically. Remain still and quiet.
  3. Cuff deflates automatically as measurement is taken.
  4. Reading displays: Systolic, Diastolic, Pulse rate.
  5. Icons may appear: Irregular Heartbeat, Hypertension Indicator, Body Movement.
  6. Unit stores reading automatically (if memory not full).
  7. To turn off, press START/STOP again or wait for auto shut-off.

Tip: For average of last 3 readings, press MEMORY button after measurement.

Memory Function

View, recall, or clear stored readings.

  1. View Memory: Press MEMORY button. Most recent reading displays.
  2. Scroll: Press MEMORY repeatedly to scroll through stored readings (newest to oldest).
  3. Average: After a measurement, press MEMORY to see average of last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes.
  4. Clear All Memory: With unit off, press and hold MEMORY and START/STOP simultaneously for 3 seconds until "CLr" appears.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug adapter/remove batteries before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, benzene, or abrasive cleaners.

Cuff Care: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not machine wash, twist, or expose to high heat.

Storage: Store in provided case in a cool, dry place. Remove batteries if not used for 3 months or more.

CAUTION! Never immerse unit in water. Do not expose to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
