Getting Started

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 2 AAA batteries observing correct polarity.
  2. Set Date and Time: Press the MEMORY button to enter setup mode and adjust date/time using START/STOP button.
  3. Apply Wrist Cuff: Place cuff on left wrist (or as directed by physician) with monitor face up.
  4. Positioning: Rest elbow on table so cuff is at heart level. Relax for 5 minutes before measuring.

CAUTION! Ensure cuff is positioned correctly at heart level for accurate readings. Incorrect positioning may result in inaccurate measurements.

Taking a Measurement

Proper procedure for accurate blood pressure measurement.

  1. Prepare: Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Apply Cuff: Place cuff on bare wrist approximately 0.5-1 inch above hand. Secure snugly.
  3. Position: Rest arm on table so cuff is at heart level. Palm should face upward.
  4. Start Measurement: Press START/STOP button. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain Still: Do not move or talk during measurement.
  6. Read Results: Display will show systolic/diastolic pressure and pulse rate.
  7. Record: Results are automatically stored in memory.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking. Avoid crossing legs during measurement.

Memory Function

Stores up to 60 readings (30 per user).

  1. Select User: Press User Select button to choose User 1 or User 2.
  2. View Memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings (most recent first).
  3. Clear Memory: In memory mode, press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds to clear current user's memory.
  4. Average Reading: Device can display average of last 3 readings taken in the last 10 minutes.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced if done within 3 minutes.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and extends device life.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe monitor and cuff with soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, benzene, or abrasive cleaners.
  2. Storage: Store in carrying case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when low battery indicator appears. Use fresh AAA batteries.
  4. Cuff Care: Do not fold cuff tightly or expose to sharp objects. Do not wash or immerse in water.
  5. Do not disassemble or attempt repairs. Contact authorized service center for repairs.
