Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the main components of the device.

  1. Main Unit: Contains the LCD display, START/STOP button, and memory button.
  2. Wrist Cuff: Wraps around your wrist with a secure Velcro closure. The air tube is permanently attached.
  3. LCD Display: Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse, date, time, and status icons.
  4. Battery Compartment: Located on the back of the main unit (requires 2 AAA batteries).
  5. Storage Case: For protecting the device when not in use.

CAUTION! Do not bend or twist the air tube excessively, as this may cause damage.

Initial Setup

Prepare the device for first-time use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment cover on the back. Insert 2 AAA batteries, matching the polarity (+/-) indicators. Close the cover.
  2. Set Date and Time: Press the MEMORY button to enter the clock setting mode. Use the START/STOP button to adjust values. Press MEMORY to confirm.
  3. Apply the Cuff Correctly: Remove restrictive clothing or jewelry from your left wrist. Place the cuff on your bare wrist with the display facing upward, about 0.5-1 inch (1-2 cm) from your hand. Secure snugly with the Velcro strap.
  4. Positioning: Sit comfortably with your back straight. Rest your elbow on a table so the cuff is at heart level. Relax and remain still.

Tip: For the most accurate reading, avoid eating, smoking, exercising, or drinking caffeine for 30 minutes before measuring.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for an accurate reading.

  1. Prepare: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring. Apply the cuff as described in Initial Setup.
  2. Start: Press the START/STOP button. The device will inflate automatically.
  3. Remain Still: Keep your wrist and fingers relaxed and do not move or talk during the measurement.
  4. Reading: The cuff will deflate automatically. Your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed.
  5. Store (Optional): The reading is automatically stored in memory. To view stored readings, press the MEMORY button.
  6. Power Off: The device turns off automatically about 1 minute after the measurement is complete.

WARNING! Do not inflate the cuff while it is not wrapped around your wrist, as this may damage the device.

Note: If the hypertension indicator appears, it means your reading is above the normal range (135/85 mmHg for home monitoring). Consult your physician.

Memory Function

The device stores up to 60 readings with date and time.

  1. To View Memory: Press the MEMORY button. The most recent reading (M01) will appear. Press MEMORY again to scroll through older readings (M02, M03, etc.).
  2. To View Average: While in memory mode, press and hold the MEMORY button for about 3 seconds. The average of the last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes will be displayed with the AVG icon.
  3. To Clear All Memory: With the device off, press and hold the MEMORY button. While holding it, press the START/STOP button. "CLr" will flash on the display, and all memory will be erased when you release the buttons.

CAUTION! Clearing memory is irreversible. Ensure you have recorded any needed readings before clearing.
