Safety Information

Read all instructions before use.

  1. Do not use on infants, children, or persons who cannot express themselves.
  2. Do not use during or immediately after physical exercise or bathing.
  3. Do not use on an arm with an intravenous drip or surgical wound.
  4. Consult your physician before use if you have arrhythmia, blood flow problems, or other circulatory disorders.
  5. Use only the provided AC adapter. Use of other adapters may cause malfunction or damage.

Initial Setup

Prepare the device for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment on bottom, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set Date & Time: Press and hold the MEMORY button for 3 seconds. Use START/STOP to adjust values, MEMORY to confirm and move to next setting.
  3. Connect Cuff: Plug the cuff tube firmly into the cuff connector on the left side of the unit.
  4. AC Adapter (Optional): Plug the adapter into the AC jack and then into a wall outlet. The device will prioritize AC power when connected.

CAUTION! Do not use rechargeable batteries. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for 3 months or more.

Taking a Measurement

For the most accurate reading, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Prepare: Avoid eating, smoking, exercising, or bathing for 30 minutes prior. Sit quietly for 5 minutes.
  2. Position: Sit on a chair with feet flat on the floor. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.
  3. Apply Cuff: Wrap the cuff around your bare upper arm 1-2 cm above the elbow. The tube should run down the center of your arm. Secure with the cloth closure.
  4. Start Measurement: Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically. Remain still and quiet until measurement is complete.
  5. Read Results: Your systolic/diastolic pressure and pulse rate will display. The reading is automatically stored in memory.
  6. Power Off: The unit turns off automatically about 1 minute after the reading is displayed.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

After a measurement, the display shows:

Memory Function

The device stores the last 60 readings with date and time.

  1. View Memory: Press the MEMORY button once. The most recent reading displays. Press MEMORY repeatedly to scroll through older readings.
  2. View Average: While in memory mode, press and hold the MEMORY button for 3 seconds to display the average of the last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes.
  3. Clear All Memory: With the unit OFF, press and hold both the MEMORY and START/STOP buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. 'CLr' will flash on the display. Press START/STOP to confirm.

Note: Memory is retained even when batteries are removed or replaced.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures long life and accurate readings.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe the main unit and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents, abrasives, or immerse in water.
  2. Storage: Disconnect the cuff tube and store the device in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  3. Cuff Care: Do not fold the cuff tightly or twist the air tube excessively. Do not wash the cuff.
  4. Batteries: Replace batteries when the low battery icon appears. Use 4 new AA alkaline batteries.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the unit. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.

Troubleshooting
