Safety Precautions

Before using the monitor, read all safety instructions carefully.

  1. Do not use the monitor on infants, children, or persons who cannot express themselves.
  2. Do not use the monitor on an injured arm or an arm with an intravenous drip or blood transfusion.
  3. Do not use the monitor during or immediately after physical exercise or bathing.
  4. Consult your physician before use if you have arrhythmia, arterial sclerosis, or poor circulation.
  5. Use only the specified AC adapter. Do not disassemble or modify the unit.

Getting Started

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back and insert 4 AA batteries, observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press the CLOCK button and use the START/STOP button to adjust values.
  3. Apply the cuff: Wrap the cuff on your bare upper left arm, 1-2 cm above the elbow. The tube should run down the center of your arm.
  4. Positioning: Sit comfortably with your feet flat on the floor, back supported, and arm resting on a table at heart level.

CAUTION! Ensure the cuff is not too tight or too loose. The index line should fall within the range marked on the cuff.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for an accurate reading.

  1. Remain still and seated for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Wrap the cuff correctly on your left upper arm.
  3. Press the START/STOP button. The monitor will inflate automatically.
  4. Remain still and quiet during inflation and measurement. Do not move your arm or talk.
  5. The cuff will deflate automatically. Your systolic, diastolic, and pulse readings will appear on the display.
  6. The reading is automatically stored in memory.
  7. To turn off the unit, press the START/STOP button again, or it will turn off automatically after 1 minute.

Tip: For the most accurate results, take measurements at the same time each day, before meals or medication.

Understanding Your Readings

The monitor displays systolic pressure (top number), diastolic pressure (bottom number), and pulse rate.

Note: A single high reading does not necessarily indicate hypertension. Consult your doctor for a proper diagnosis.

Memory Function

The device stores the last 100 readings with date and time.

  1. To view memory: Press the MEMORY button. The most recent reading appears.
  2. Scroll through readings: Press the MEMORY button repeatedly to cycle through stored readings in reverse chronological order.
  3. Memory full: When the memory is full (100 readings), the oldest reading is automatically deleted when a new one is stored.
  4. Clear all memory: To delete all readings, press and hold the MEMORY button for more than 3 seconds while in memory mode. "CLr" will appear, then all data will be erased.

WARNING! Clearing memory is irreversible. Ensure you have recorded any needed readings before clearing.
