Getting Started

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert batteries (4 x AA) or connect the AC adapter to the DC jack and a wall outlet.
  2. Attach the cuff tube to the main unit connector.
  3. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before first measurement.
  4. Wrap the cuff on your bare upper arm, 1-2 cm above elbow. Align artery marker with brachial artery.
  5. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.

Tip: Avoid talking or moving during measurement for accurate results.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for an accurate reading.

  1. Press the START/STOP button. The monitor will inflate automatically.
  2. Remain still and quiet until measurement is complete.
  3. The cuff will deflate automatically. Your systolic, diastolic, and pulse readings will display.
  4. The reading is automatically stored in memory.
  5. To turn off the unit, press the START/STOP button again or wait for auto power-off.

WARNING! Do not wrap cuff too tightly. There should be space for one finger between cuff and arm.
