Getting Started

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Connect AC adapter: Plug into DC jack on side of unit and wall outlet (optional).
  3. Set date and time: Press and hold SET button, use START/STOP to adjust values.
  4. Apply cuff: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  5. Rest quietly: Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported, and cuff at heart level.

CAUTION! Do not use on injured or sore arm. Ensure cuff is not too tight or loose.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate readings.

  1. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Wrap cuff properly on left arm (unless instructed otherwise by physician).
  3. Press START/STOP button - unit will inflate automatically.
  4. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  5. Readings display when measurement is complete.
  6. Cuff deflates automatically.
  7. Unit stores reading automatically for current user.
  8. Power turns off automatically after 1 minute.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Stores and recalls measurements for two users.

  1. Select user: Press SET button to toggle between User 1 and User 2.
  2. Take measurement: Readings are stored automatically for selected user.
  3. Recall memory: Press MEMORY button to view stored readings.
  4. Scroll: Press START/STOP to scroll through readings (most recent first).
  5. Clear memory: Press and hold MEMORY for 3 seconds while in memory mode (clears current user's memory).

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced if done within 3 minutes.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and long device life.

  1. Clean cuff: Use mild soap and damp cloth, then dry completely.
  2. Clean unit: Wipe with dry soft cloth only.
  3. Store properly: Keep in storage case in cool, dry place.
  4. Replace batteries: When low battery symbol appears.
  5. Avoid: Extreme temperatures, moisture, direct sunlight, strong impacts.
