Safety Precautions

  1. Do not use on infants, small children, or persons who cannot express themselves.
  2. Do not use the monitor on an arm with an intravenous drip or shunt.
  3. Consult your physician before use if you have arrhythmia, blood disease, or are pregnant.
  4. Do not inflate the cuff when it is not wrapped around your arm.
  5. Use only the specified AC adapter. Do not disassemble or modify the unit.

Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the main components of the monitor.

  1. Main Unit: Contains the display, control buttons, and air pump.
  2. Display: Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse, icons, and memory data.
  3. Cuff: Wraps around the upper arm. Contains the air tube and Velcro closure.
  4. Air Tube: Connects the cuff to the main unit.
  5. AC Adapter Jack: Located on the side of the unit.
  6. Memory Button (M): Used to recall stored readings.
  7. User Button (1/2): Selects User 1 or User 2 for memory storage.

CAUTION! Ensure the air tube is not twisted or pinched during use.

Initial Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back and insert 4 AA batteries (not included) observing polarity. Alternatively, connect the AC adapter.
  2. Set Date & Time: Press and hold the Clock button. Use the START/STOP and M buttons to adjust values. Press Clock again to set.
  3. Attach the Cuff: Connect the air tube plug firmly into the port on the side of the main unit.
  4. Select User: Press the User button (1/2) to select your memory profile (User 1 or User 2).

Tip: Rest for 5 minutes before your first measurement. Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes prior.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for an accurate reading.

  1. Sit comfortably on a chair with your feet flat on the floor and back supported.
  2. Wrap the cuff on your bare upper arm, 1-2 cm above the elbow. The tube should run down the center of your inner arm.
  3. Secure the cuff snugly, but not too tight (you should fit one finger underneath).
  4. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level. Relax your hand.
  5. Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet until the measurement is complete and the cuff deflates.
  7. Your systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed.
  8. The reading is automatically saved to the selected user's memory.

WARNING! Do not move your arm or talk during measurement. Ensure the cuff is at heart level.

Memory Function

Reviewing past readings.

  1. Ensure you have selected the correct User (1 or 2).
  2. Press the Memory (M) button once to view the most recent reading with date and time.
  3. Press the M button repeatedly to scroll through all stored readings for that user (up to 100).
  4. To view the average of the last three readings taken within 10 minutes, press and hold the M button for 3 seconds.
  5. To clear all memory for the selected user, press and hold the User button (1/2) and the M button simultaneously for 5 seconds until "CLr" appears.

Note: Memory is retained even when batteries are removed.

To ensure longevity and accuracy.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe the main unit and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, benzene, or abrasive cleaners.
  2. Storage: Disconnect the air tube, fold the cuff loosely, and store in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Batteries: Remove batteries if the monitor will not be used for 3 months or longer.
  4. Cuff: Do not wash or immerse the cuff in water. Do not bend the air tube sharply.
