Initial Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Connect cuff: Insert cuff tube into the connector on the side of the monitor.
  4. Apply cuff correctly: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.

CAUTION! Do not use if cuff is damaged. Ensure tube is not twisted or pinched.

Taking a Measurement

For most accurate results, measure at the same time each day.

  1. Sit comfortably: Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on left arm (recommended) at heart level.
  3. Press START/STOP: Monitor inflates automatically. Remain still and quiet.
  4. Read results: Systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate display. Hypertension symbol lights if high.
  5. Memory storage: Reading is automatically stored for current user.
  6. Power off: Unit turns off automatically after 1 minute.

Tip: Avoid eating, smoking, or drinking caffeine 30 minutes before measurement.

Memory Function

Store and recall past readings for two users (User 1 and User 2).

  1. Select user: Press USER button to toggle between User 1 and User 2 icons.
  2. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings (most recent first).
  3. Clear memory: Press and hold MEMORY button while in memory mode until "0" displays.
  4. Average reading: Last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes are averaged automatically.
