Safety Precautions

Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the monitor components.

  1. Main Unit: Contains display, control buttons, and air connector.
  2. D-Ring Cuff: Wide-range cuff with cloth wrap and metal D-ring.
  3. Air Plug: Connects the cuff tube to the main unit.
  4. START/STOP Button: Initiates and stops measurement.
  5. MEMORY Button: Accesses stored readings.
  6. SET Button: Sets date, time, and user options.
  7. AC Adapter Jack: For connecting the AC adapter (optional).
  8. Battery Compartment: Holds 4 AA batteries.

CAUTION! Ensure the air plug is securely connected before measurement.

Specifications

Initial Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity, close cover.
  2. Set Date and Time: Press and hold SET button. Use START/STOP to adjust values, SET to confirm and move to next setting.
  3. Attach Cuff: Connect the cuff air tube plug firmly to the air connector on the left side of the unit.
  4. Apply Cuff: Place cuff on left upper arm (bare skin). The tube should run down the center of the inner arm. Wrap snugly.

Tip: For most accurate results, rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Sit in a chair with feet flat on the floor and back supported.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for a proper reading.

  1. Sit comfortably with the cuff at heart level.
  2. Press the START/STOP button. All display symbols will appear briefly.
  3. The cuff will inflate automatically. Remain still and quiet.
  4. Measurement completes when cuff deflates fully. Systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will display.
  5. The reading is automatically stored in memory.
  6. To turn the unit off, press START/STOP again, or it will power off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not move your arm or talk during measurement. Ensure the cuff is not over clothing.

Memory Function

Access and manage stored readings.

  1. View Memory: Press the MEMORY button. The most recent reading displays with a memory number.
  2. Scroll: Press MEMORY repeatedly to scroll through all stored readings in reverse chronological order.
  3. Average Function: After taking 3 readings within 10 minutes, the average of those 3 readings will display automatically after the third measurement.
  4. Clear Memory: To delete all memory, press and hold the MEMORY button for more than 3 seconds while in memory mode. "CLr" will appear.

Note: Memory is retained even when batteries are removed or replaced.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures longevity and accuracy.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe the main unit and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasives.
  2. Storage: Disconnect the cuff tube. Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Cuff Care: Do not fold the cuff tightly or twist the air tube excessively.
  4. Batteries: Remove batteries if the monitor will not be used for 3 months or more to prevent leakage.
  5. Do Not: Immerse in water, disassemble, or expose to extreme temperatures or humidity.

CAUTION! Use only the specified AC adapter. Using an incorrect adapter may damage the unit.
