Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the device components.

  1. Main Unit: Contains display, control buttons, and air connector.
  2. D-Ring Cuff: Pre-formed cuff with metal ring and Velcro closure.
  3. Air Plug: Connects cuff tube to main unit.
  4. START/STOP Button: Initiates and stops measurement.
  5. MEMORY Button: Accesses stored readings.
  6. SET Button: Sets date, time, and user selection.
  7. Display: Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse, and icons.
  8. AC Adapter Jack: For connecting AC adapter (optional).
  9. Battery Compartment: Holds 4 AA batteries.

CAUTION! Ensure all parts are clean, dry, and undamaged before use.

Initial Setup

Prepare the device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity, close cover.
  2. Set date and time: Press SET button, use START/STOP to adjust values, press SET to confirm.
  3. Connect cuff: Insert air plug into main unit connector until it clicks.
  4. Apply cuff correctly: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery, secure with Velcro.

Tip: For most accurate results, rest for 5 minutes before measuring and avoid talking or moving during measurement.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate blood pressure measurement.

  1. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor and back supported.
  2. Apply cuff to left arm (unless instructed otherwise by physician).
  3. Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level.
  4. Press START/STOP button. Device will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  6. Reading displays when measurement is complete. Device deflates automatically.
  7. Record reading if desired, or it will be stored automatically.
  8. Remove cuff after measurement is complete.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm. Do not use on injured or sore arm.

Memory Function

Stores up to 60 readings (30 per user).

  1. Select user: Press SET button to toggle between User 1 and User 2.
  2. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  3. Delete memory: While in memory mode, press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds to clear current user's memory.
  4. Average reading: Automatically calculates average of last three readings taken within 10 minutes.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced if done within 3 minutes.

  5. Replace cuff if it becomes damaged or loses elasticity.
