Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before use. For personal use only.

  1. Do not use on infants, children, or persons who cannot express themselves.
  2. Consult your physician before use if you have arrhythmia, pre-eclampsia, or other circulatory disorders.
  3. Do not use the monitor on an injured or sore arm.
  4. Do not modify the cuff or monitor.
  5. Keep the monitor and cuff away from children.

First-Time Setup

Insert batteries or connect AC adapter. Set date and time.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Connect AC Adapter (optional): Plug adapter into DC jack on side of monitor, then into wall outlet.
  3. Set Date & Time: Press and hold the CLOCK button. Use START/STOP to set values, MEMORY to confirm.
  4. Attach Cuff: Slide the metal D-ring through the cloth loop to form a circle. Your arm will go through this circle.

CAUTION! Use only the specified AC adapter. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Controls and Display

Front Panel: START/STOP button, MEMORY button, CLOCK button.

Display Symbols: User A/B icon, Memory Full icon, Irregular Heartbeat symbol, Hypertension Indicator, Battery icon, Date/Time, Systolic/Diastolic/Pulse readings, AVG (Average) icon.

Memory: Press MEMORY to review stored readings. Use START/STOP to scroll between User A and User B memories. Press and hold MEMORY to delete all readings for the current user.

Taking a Measurement

For the most accurate reading, rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking 30 minutes prior.

  1. Sit correctly: Sit on a chair with feet flat on the floor, back supported.
  2. Apply the cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Align artery marker with brachial artery. Cuff should be snug but not tight.
  3. Position arm: Rest arm on a table so cuff is at heart level. Relax palm up.
  4. Start measurement: Press START/STOP. Cuff will inflate automatically. Remain still and quiet.
  5. Read results: Systolic, diastolic, and pulse readings display. Hypertension or irregular heartbeat symbols may appear.
  6. Cuff deflation: Cuff deflates automatically. Remove cuff after measurement is complete.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day, such as morning and evening, for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Stores 100 readings for each of two users (User A and User B).

  1. Select User: Before starting a measurement, press the MEMORY button to toggle between User A and User B icons on the display.
  2. View Memory: Press MEMORY button after the monitor is on (but not during a measurement). The most recent reading displays. Press START/STOP to scroll through previous readings.
  3. Delete Memory: To delete all readings for the current user, press and hold the MEMORY button for more than 3 seconds until "CLr" appears.
  4. Morning Average (AVG): After taking 3 or more morning readings (between 6:00 AM and 11:59 AM), the AVG icon will display the average of the last 3 morning readings when you enter memory mode.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Clean monitor and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasives.
  2. Do not immerse any part of the device in water or other liquids.
  3. Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and dust.
  4. Do not bend the air tube excessively or store with the cuff tightly wrapped.
  5. Replace batteries when the low battery icon appears on the display.

CAUTION! Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the monitor. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
