NOTE: 4 AA batteries are not included. For battery operation, insert 4 AA alkaline batteries.

Device Overview

Initial Setup

Before first use: Set date/time, install batteries or connect AC adapter.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold Memory button for 3 seconds. Use START/STOP to adjust values.
  3. Connect cuff: Plug cuff tube into connector on left side of unit until it clicks.
  4. Apply cuff correctly: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.

CAUTION! Ensure cuff is not twisted and artery mark aligns with brachial artery.

Taking a Measurement

For most accurate results, measure at the same time each day.

  1. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor and back supported.
  2. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  3. Apply cuff to left upper arm (or as directed by physician).
  4. Position arm so cuff is at heart level on table.
  5. Press START/STOP button. Unit will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  7. Reading displays when measurement is complete. Cuff deflates automatically.
  8. Record reading if desired. Unit stores automatically in memory.

Tip: Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising for 30 minutes before measurement.

Understanding Results

Normal blood pressure: Below 120/80 mmHg. Hypertension stages indicated per guidelines.

Memory Function

Stores up to 100 readings with date and time stamps.

  1. View memory: Press Memory button to cycle through stored readings.
  2. Average reading: Displays average of last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes.
  3. Clear memory: Press and hold Memory button for 5 seconds while in memory mode.
  4. Memory full: Oldest reading is overwritten when memory exceeds 100 readings.

WARNING! Clearing memory is permanent. Consider recording readings elsewhere before clearing.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter or remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Clean monitor with soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasives.
  2. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth. Air dry completely before storage.
  3. Store in provided case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Replace batteries when low battery indicator appears.
  5. Do not expose to extreme temperatures, humidity, or strong magnetic fields.
