Specifications

Initial Setup

Before first use, install batteries and set date/time.

  1. Open battery compartment on back of unit.
  2. Insert 4 AA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close compartment.
  4. Press the START/STOP button to turn on unit.
  5. Use the Memory button to set current date and time (follow on-screen prompts).
  6. Unit is now ready for measurement.

CAUTION! Use only recommended batteries. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes prior.

  1. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor and back supported.
  2. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm. Artery marker should align with brachial artery.
  3. Cuff edge should be 1-2 cm above elbow. Tube should run down center of arm.
  4. Keep arm relaxed on table with cuff at heart level.
  5. Press START/STOP button. Unit will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  7. Reading will display when complete. Unit deflates automatically.
  8. To turn off, press START/STOP button again.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Understanding the Display

After measurement, the screen shows:

Note: An average reading icon appears if the last 3 readings (within 10 min) are averaged.

Memory Recall Function

To view stored readings:

  1. Press the Memory button. The most recent reading appears.
  2. Press Memory button repeatedly to scroll through all 60 stored readings in reverse chronological order.
  3. To clear all memory: While in memory mode, press and hold the Memory button for 3 seconds until "CLr" appears.

WARNING! Clearing memory is irreversible. Ensure you have recorded important readings elsewhere.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter (if used) and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Wipe main unit and cuff with a soft, dry cloth.
  2. Do not immerse in water or use abrasive cleaners.
  3. Store in provided case in a cool, dry place.
  4. Avoid extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, dust, and moisture.
  5. Do not fold cuff tightly around tube.

CAUTION! Never wash or soak the cuff. Do not use alcohol or solvents.

Battery Information

Battery life: Approximately 300 measurements (alkaline batteries).

Disposal: Dispose of batteries according to local regulations.
