Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before use. Consult your physician for proper monitoring.

  1. Do not use on infants, young children, or persons unable to express themselves.
  2. Do not use during vehicle operation or if drowsy.
  3. Do not use on injured or diseased arms.
  4. Wait at least 5 minutes between measurements on the same person.
  5. Do not modify the cuff or tubing.

Parts Identification

Front Panel: LCD Display, START/STOP Button, MEMORY Button. Side: AC Adapter Jack. Back: Battery Compartment. Cuff: Air Tube, Velcro Closure, Artery Marker.

Display Symbols: Systolic Pressure, Diastolic Pressure, Pulse Rate, User Indicator (1 or 2), Memory Full, Irregular Heartbeat, Hypertension, Low Battery, Date/Time.

CAUTION! Ensure cuff is correct size for your arm circumference (22-32 cm). Using wrong size may cause inaccurate readings.

Initial Setup

Insert batteries or connect AC adapter before first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set Date/Time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Apply Cuff: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before first measurement.
  4. Select User: Press MEMORY button to toggle between User 1 and User 2.

Tip: For most accurate results, take measurements at the same time each day under consistent conditions.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate readings:

  1. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported.
  2. Rest arm on table with palm up, cuff at heart level.
  3. Wrap cuff snugly around bare upper arm, artery marker over brachial artery.
  4. Press START/STOP button - monitor will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  6. Readings display when measurement complete - systolic, diastolic, pulse.
  7. Cuff deflates automatically; device stores reading if memory is on.
  8. Wait 2-3 minutes before removing cuff or taking another reading.

WARNING! Do not move, talk, or cross legs during measurement as this may affect accuracy.

Understanding Results

Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: Appears if irregular rhythm detected during measurement. Consult physician if this appears frequently.

Memory Function

Stores up to 100 readings per user with date/time stamp.

  1. Select User: Press MEMORY button to choose User 1 or User 2.
  2. View Memory: Press and release MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  3. Average Reading: Last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes automatically averaged.
  4. Clear Memory: Press and hold MEMORY button for 5 seconds while in memory mode.

Note: Memory full indicator appears when 100 readings stored. Oldest readings are overwritten.

Care & Maintenance

Remove batteries if not using for extended period. Clean with soft, dry cloth only.

  1. Do not immerse in water or use alcohol, benzene, or thinner.
  2. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Avoid extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, and vibration.
  4. Replace cuff if Velcro no longer holds securely.
  5. Replace batteries when low battery indicator appears.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble or attempt repairs. Contact authorized service center.
