Safety Precautions

Specifications

Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold Memory button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Connect cuff: Insert air plug into main unit until it clicks.
  4. Test device: Without wearing cuff, press START/STOP to verify display lights up.

Tip: Use fresh alkaline batteries for best performance. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measurement. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Artery mark should align with brachial artery.
  3. Secure cuff: Wrap snugly but not too tight. Allow room for one finger between cuff and arm.
  4. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level. Palm facing upward.
  5. Start measurement: Press START/STOP button. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still: Do not move or talk during measurement.
  7. Read results: Systolic/diastolic pressure and pulse display when measurement completes.
  8. Cuff deflation: Automatic. Remove cuff after measurement.

Important: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking. Avoid caffeine, smoking, or alcohol 30 minutes before measurement.

Memory Function

Device stores last 30 readings with date and time.

  1. View memory: Press Memory button. Most recent reading displays with memory index (1-30).
  2. Scroll through memory: Press Memory button repeatedly to view previous readings.
  3. Clear memory: When memory is full, oldest reading is automatically overwritten.
  4. Average reading: Display shows average of last 3 readings taken within last 10 minutes.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed (internal backup).

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and long device life.

  1. Clean with soft, dry cloth only. Do not use chemicals or immerse in water.
  2. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  3. Remove batteries if not using for more than 3 months.
  4. Replace cuff if it becomes damaged or shows signs of wear.
  5. Do not bend or twist air tube excessively.

CAUTION! Never wash cuff or main unit. Do not disassemble any part of the device.
