Initial Setup

Before first use, install batteries or connect AC adapter, set date/time, and select user.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Select user: Press USER SELECT to choose User A or User B for memory storage.
  4. Apply cuff correctly: Place cuff on bare upper arm with artery mark over brachial artery.

CAUTION! Use correct cuff size. Incorrect application may cause inaccurate readings.

Taking a Measurement

For most accurate results, measure at the same time each day in a quiet environment.

  1. Sit comfortably with back straight, feet flat on floor, and legs uncrossed.
  2. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Place arm on table with cuff at heart level.
  3. Apply cuff securely (not too tight) with tube positioned down the center of arm.
  4. Press START/STOP button. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not move arm or talk.
  6. Measurement completes when cuff deflates. Results display with pulse rate.
  7. Record results if desired. Device automatically stores reading in selected user memory.

Tip: Wait at least 3 minutes between measurements on the same person.

Memory Function

Stores up to 100 readings (50 per user) with date and time.

  1. Select user: Press USER SELECT to choose User A or User B before measurement.
  2. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings for current user.
  3. Clear memory: While in memory mode, press and hold MEMORY for 3 seconds to delete all readings for current user.
  4. Average reading: The last 3 readings for the current user are averaged and displayed.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are removed for approximately 3 minutes.

Understanding Results

Normal blood pressure: Below 120/80 mmHg. Hypertension indicator appears if systolic ≥135 mmHg or diastolic ≥85 mmHg.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Clean cuff and unit with soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  2. Do not use alcohol, benzene, thinner, or other chemicals.
  3. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  4. Replace batteries when low battery icon appears.
  5. Inspect cuff regularly for cracks or damage.

CAUTION! Never wash cuff in washing machine. Do not bend air tube sharply.
