Specifications

Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Before first use, install batteries or connect AC adapter.

  1. Open battery compartment on back of unit.
  2. Insert 4 AA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close compartment.
  4. Set date and time: Press SET button, use START/STOP to adjust values, press SET to confirm.
  5. Select user: Press SET to toggle between USER 1 and USER 2.

CAUTION! Use only specified AC adapter. Remove batteries if not using for 3 months or more.

Applying the Cuff

Proper cuff application is essential for accurate readings.

  1. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measurement.
  2. Remove tight clothing from upper arm.
  3. Insert cuff end through D-Ring to form a loop.
  4. Place cuff on bare arm with artery marker (△) over brachial artery.
  5. Secure cuff 1-2 cm above elbow. Tubing should run down center of arm.
  6. Cuff should be snug; you should be able to insert one finger underneath.
  7. Rest arm on table with palm up, cuff at heart level.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day, before exercise, eating, or bathing.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate measurement.

  1. Sit in a chair with feet flat on floor and back supported.
  2. Apply cuff as described above.
  3. Press START/STOP button. All display symbols appear briefly.
  4. Unit inflates automatically. Remain still and quiet during inflation and measurement.
  5. Cuff deflates automatically when measurement is complete.
  6. Reading displays with systolic, diastolic, and pulse values.
  7. Hypertension, irregular heartbeat, or body movement indicators will light if detected.
  8. Press START/STOP to turn unit off, or it will turn off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped on arm.

Memory & Data Management

Stores 100 readings each for USER 1 and USER 2.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button. Display shows average of last 3 readings.
  2. Press MEMORY again to scroll through individual readings with date/time.
  3. Switch users: While in memory mode, press SET button to toggle between USER 1 and USER 2.
  4. Delete all memory: While in memory mode, press and hold SET button for 3 seconds until "CLR" flashes. Press START/STOP to confirm deletion for current user.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth; do not immerse in water.
  2. Clean main unit with dry, soft cloth.
  3. Do not use benzene, thinner, or abrasive cleaners.
  4. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  5. Replace cuff if it becomes cracked or damaged.

CAUTION! Do not wash or dry clean the cuff. Do not disassemble the unit.
