Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the monitor components.

CAUTION! Do not bend or kink the air tube. Ensure the cuff is not twisted.

Initial Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment on the back. Insert 4 AA batteries, matching polarity (+/-).
  2. Set Date & Time: Press the MEMORY button. Use the START/STOP button to select and set values.
  3. Select User: Press the MEMORY button to toggle between User 1 and User 2 icons.
  4. Connect Cuff: Plug the cuff air tube firmly into the air connector on the left side of the unit.

Tip: For most accurate results, rest for 5 minutes before first measurement. Avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking for 30 minutes prior.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for an accurate reading.

  1. Sit comfortably on a chair with your feet flat on the floor and back supported.
  2. Remove tight clothing from your left upper arm.
  3. Wrap the cuff around your bare arm. The air tube should run down the center of your arm, aligned with your middle finger.
  4. Position the cuff so the bottom edge is about 1-2 cm above your elbow. The cuff should be snug but not tight.
  5. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at the same level as your heart. Palm facing up.
  6. Remain still and quiet. Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  7. When measurement is complete, the cuff deflates and your systolic/diastolic pressure and pulse rate appear.
  8. Press the START/STOP button to turn the unit off, or it will power off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Ensure the cuff is at heart level.
