Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Attach cuff: Connect cuff tube to the air plug on left side of monitor.
  3. Connect AC adapter (optional): Plug adapter into port and wall outlet.
  4. Position cuff: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.

WARNING! Do not use if cuff is damaged. Ensure cuff is correctly positioned for accurate readings.

First-Time Setup

Power on monitor; follow initial setup.

  1. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  2. Select user: Press MEMORY briefly to toggle between USER 1 and USER 2.
  3. Positioning: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before first measurement.
  4. Take first reading: Press START/STOP to begin measurement.

CAUTION! Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not talk or move arm.

Access functions via front panel buttons. START/STOP: Begin/end measurement. MEMORY: View stored readings, set date/time.

Connecting to AC Power

Use optional AD-A15170L AC adapter.

  1. Ensure monitor is off.
  2. Plug adapter into DC 6V port on monitor.
  3. Plug adapter into wall outlet.
  4. Monitor will prioritize AC power when connected.

Tip: Use AC adapter for extended use to conserve batteries.

Taking Measurements

For accurate readings, follow proper procedure.

  1. Prepare: Avoid eating, drinking, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes before.
  2. Position: Sit with back straight, feet flat, arm supported at heart level.
  3. Apply cuff: Wrap snugly with tube positioned over inner arm.
  4. Start: Press START/STOP. Cuff inflates automatically.
  5. Remain still: Keep still until measurement completes and cuff deflates.
  6. Read results: Systolic, diastolic, and pulse display for 1 minute.
  7. Store: Reading automatically stores to current user memory.

WARNING! Do not use on injured or sore arm. Consult doctor for medical diagnosis.

Memory Function

View and manage stored readings.

  1. Press MEMORY to enter memory mode.
  2. Use START/STOP to scroll through readings (newest to oldest).
  3. Display shows reading number, values, date, time, and indicators.
  4. To clear memory: While in memory mode, press and hold MEMORY for 5 seconds until "CLr" appears.

Note: Memory clears separately for each user.

Care & Cleaning

Remove batteries before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth only; do not use liquids or solvents.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water. Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity. Store in provided case.
