Device Overview

Familiarize yourself with the device controls and display.

  1. Front Panel: START/STOP button, MEMORY button, POWER button.
  2. Display: Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse rate, date/time, memory index, and icons for irregular heartbeat, hypertension, and body movement.
  3. Cuff Connector: Air plug connection point on left side of unit.
  4. AC Adapter Jack: Located on right side of unit.
  5. Battery Compartment: Holds 4 AA batteries on back of unit.

CAUTION! Keep device away from water and extreme temperatures. Store in provided case when not in use.

Specifications

Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment on back, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Connect AC adapter: Plug into AC jack on right side (optional, for home use).
  3. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  4. Attach cuff: Connect air plug to cuff connector until it clicks.

Tip: For most accurate readings, use AC adapter when available. Replace batteries when low battery icon appears.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate blood pressure measurement.

  1. Sit comfortably with back straight and feet flat on floor.
  2. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  3. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.
  4. Position cuff at heart level.
  5. Press START/STOP button to begin measurement.
  6. Remain still and quiet during inflation and measurement.
  7. Readings display automatically when complete.
  8. Press START/STOP again to turn off, or unit auto-powers off after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not take measurements immediately after eating, bathing, exercising, or consuming caffeine/alcohol. Wait at least 30 minutes.

Memory Function

Device stores up to 60 readings with date and time.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to cycle through stored readings.
  2. Memory index: Shows which reading is displayed (1-60).
  3. Average reading: Displays average of last 3 readings taken in last 10 minutes.
  4. Clear memory: Press and hold MEMORY button while in memory mode for 5 seconds.

Note: When memory is full, oldest reading is automatically deleted to store new reading.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and long device life.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth; air dry completely.
  2. Wipe main unit with dry, soft cloth.
  3. Do not immerse in water or use harsh chemicals.
  4. Store in provided case in cool, dry place.
  5. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.
  6. Avoid dropping or subjecting to strong impacts.

CAUTION! Do not wash cuff in washing machine or use bleach. Do not expose to direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
