Safety Information

Read all instructions before use. For home use only.

  1. Do not use on infants, small children, or persons unable to express themselves.
  2. Do not use during blood dialysis or if you have pre-eclampsia (consult physician).
  3. Do not wrap cuff over clothing. Apply directly to bare upper arm.
  4. Remain still and do not talk during measurement.
  5. Wait at least 5 minutes between consecutive measurements on the same person.

Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the device components.

  1. Main Unit: Contains display, control buttons, and air hose connector.
  2. Display: Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse, indicators, and memory.
  3. START/STOP Button: Initiates and stops measurement.
  4. Memory Button: Recalls stored readings.
  5. Upper Arm Cuff: Wraps around upper arm. Contains air bladder and D-ring.
  6. Air Hose: Connects cuff to main unit.
  7. AC Adapter Jack: For optional external power (model dependent).
  8. Battery Compartment: Holds 4 AA batteries.

CAUTION! Do not bend or twist the air hose excessively.

Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Power on the device; set date and time.

  1. Install Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set Date/Time: Press and hold the MEMORY button for 3 seconds. Use START/STOP to adjust values, MEMORY to confirm and move to next setting.
  3. Connect AC Adapter (Optional): Plug adapter into jack and into wall outlet. Device will use AC power and conserve batteries.

Tip: Replace batteries when the low battery icon appears on the display.

Applying the Cuff

Taking a Measurement

Remain seated and relaxed for 5 minutes before measuring.

  1. Apply cuff correctly as described.
  2. Sit still with back straight, feet flat, and cuff at heart level.
  3. Press the START/STOP button. All display symbols will appear briefly.
  4. The cuff will inflate automatically. Remain perfectly still and quiet.
  5. Measurement completes when cuff deflates fully. Systolic, diastolic, and pulse readings display.
  6. Press START/STOP to turn the unit off, or it will power off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not inflate the cuff when it is not wrapped around an arm.

Understanding the Display

Access OSD via TV MENU or SETUP (DVD). Front Panel: POWER, OPEN/CLOSE, AUTO/DPMS, MUTE.

Memory Function

Stores readings for two users (100 readings each).

  1. Select User: Press the MEMORY button before measurement to toggle between User 1 and User 2 icon.
  2. Recall Memory: Press MEMORY after the unit is on (but not measuring) to scroll through stored readings for the selected user. Displays reading number, values, date, and time.
  3. Clear Memory: To clear all readings for the current user, press and hold the MEMORY button while in memory recall mode until 'CLr' appears.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for accurate tracking.

Care & Maintenance

Remove batteries before extended storage. Clean with a soft, dry cloth only.

  1. Do not immerse unit or cuff in water. Do not use alcohol, benzene, or abrasive cleaners.
  2. Cuff can be wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Air dry completely before storage.
  3. Store device and cuff in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Avoid extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, and strong magnetic fields.
