Getting Started

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert batteries or connect AC adapter: Open battery compartment and insert 4 AA batteries, or plug the AC adapter into the port and an outlet.
  2. Set date and time: Press the SET button and use the MEMORY button to adjust values.
  3. Attach the cuff: Ensure the air tube is connected securely to the main unit.
  4. Select user: Press the USER button to choose User 1 or User 2 before measuring.

CAUTION! Use only the specified AC adapter. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Controls and Display

Front Panel: START/STOP button, MEMORY button, USER button, SET button.

Display Icons: User 1/2, Systolic/Diastolic/Pulse readings, Hypertension Indicator, Irregular Heartbeat Symbol, Body Movement Symbol, Battery Indicator, Date/Time, Memory Average.

Settings: Use SET button to configure date, time, and unit of measurement (mmHg/kPa).

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, rest for 5 minutes before measuring.

  1. Sit correctly: Sit with back straight, feet flat on floor, arm supported at heart level.
  2. Wrap the cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm, 1-2 cm above elbow. Tube should run down center of arm.
  3. Start measurement: Press START/STOP. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  4. Remain still: Do not talk or move during measurement.
  5. Read results: Systolic, diastolic, and pulse readings will display. Hypertension or irregular heartbeat symbols may appear.
  6. Store reading: The reading is automatically stored for the selected user.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Stores 100 readings per user with date and time.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings for the selected user.
  2. View average: Press and hold MEMORY for 3 seconds to see the average of the last 3 readings taken in the last 10 minutes.
  3. Clear memory: To clear all readings for a user, remove batteries/adapter for 5 minutes while in that user's mode.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed if done so for less than 5 minutes.

Understanding the Readings

Systolic Pressure: Pressure in arteries when heart beats (top number).
Diastolic Pressure: Pressure in arteries when heart rests between beats (bottom number).
Pulse: Heart rate in beats per minute.
Hypertension Indicator: Appears if systolic ≥135 mmHg or diastolic ≥85 mmHg.
Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: Appears if an irregular rhythm is detected. Consult a physician if it appears frequently.
Body Movement Symbol: Appears if excessive movement is detected. Retake measurement while keeping still.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug adapter/remove batteries before cleaning. Wipe monitor and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water or use solvents.

CAUTION! Do not wash the cuff. Do not bend or twist the air tube excessively. Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place.
