Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.

  4. Test operation: Without wearing cuff, press START/STOP to ensure device powers on.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow proper procedure.

  1. Prepare: Rest for 5 minutes before measurement. Avoid caffeine, smoking, or exercise 30 minutes prior.
  2. Apply cuff: Sit with feet flat, back supported. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Align artery marker with brachial artery. Secure with Velcro.
  3. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level. Palm up, relaxed.
  4. Start measurement: Press START/STOP button. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still: Do not talk or move during measurement.
  6. Read results: Display shows systolic/diastolic pressure and pulse. Hypertension or irregular heartbeat symbols if detected.
  7. Deflation: Cuff deflates automatically. Device stores reading automatically.

Tip: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Device stores readings for two users (User 1 and User 2).

  1. Select user: Before measurement, press USER button to select User 1 or User 2.
  2. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings. Display shows reading number, systolic/diastolic, pulse, date/time.
  3. Average function: After three readings, device automatically calculates and displays average when MEMORY is pressed.
  4. Clear memory: To delete all readings for current user, press and hold MEMORY for 3 seconds until display clears.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced if done within 3 minutes.
