First-Time Setup

Prepare monitor for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Connect AC adapter: Plug into DC jack on side of unit (optional for home use).
  3. Set date and time: Press MEMORY button, use START/STOP to set values.
  4. Attach cuff: Connect air plug to main unit until it clicks.
  5. Wrap cuff correctly: Position 1-2 cm above elbow with artery marker over brachial artery.

CAUTION! Do not wrap cuff over clothing. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate readings.

  1. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor and back supported.
  2. Rest arm on table with palm up, cuff at heart level.
  3. Wrap cuff snugly (should fit one finger underneath).
  4. Press START/STOP button - unit will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  6. Reading displays with systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate.
  7. Unit automatically deflates and stores reading.
  8. Remove cuff after measurement is complete.

Tip: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Stores and recalls previous readings.

  1. Select user: Press USER button to choose User 1 or User 2.
  2. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  3. Average reading: Last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes are averaged automatically.
  4. Clear memory: Hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds to clear current user's memory.

Note: Memory full indicator appears when 42 readings are stored for a user.

Care & Maintenance

Remove batteries before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth only; do not use liquids or solvents.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth if soiled (air dry completely).
  2. Store in case provided, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  3. Replace batteries when low battery indicator appears.
  4. Have unit checked for accuracy every 2 years.
