Front Panel: START/STOP Button, Memory Button, Power Button, Display.

Initial Setup

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment on back, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set Date/Time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds until year flashes. Use START/STOP to adjust values, MEMORY to confirm and move to next setting (month, day, hour, minute).
  3. Connect Cuff: Plug cuff tube firmly into the cuff port on the side of the unit.
  4. Apply Cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm. Position artery marker over brachial artery. Wrap cuff snugly, leaving 1-2 cm space at elbow. Ensure tube runs down center of arm.

Tip: For first use, take a few practice measurements to become familiar with the process.

Taking a Measurement

For most accurate results, measure at the same time each day, before taking medication or eating.

  1. Sit comfortably on a chair with back supported and feet flat on floor.
  2. Rest arm on a table so cuff is at heart level. Palm should be facing up.
  3. Press POWER button. All display symbols will appear briefly.
  4. Press START/STOP button. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet. Do not move arm or talk.
  6. Measurement completes when cuff deflates. Systolic, diastolic, and pulse readings display.
  7. Reading is automatically stored in memory.
  8. To turn unit off, press POWER button, or it will shut off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff without it being properly wrapped on arm. Wait at least 3 minutes between consecutive measurements on the same person.

Memory Function

The device stores the last 100 readings with date and time.

  1. View Memory: Press MEMORY button. The most recent reading displays with its memory number (e.g., 100).
  2. Scroll Through Memory: Press START/STOP button to view older readings. Press MEMORY button to view newer readings.
  3. View Average: While in memory mode, press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds to display the average of the last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes.
  4. Clear All Memory: With unit OFF, press and hold both MEMORY and START/STOP buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. "CLr" appears, then all memory is erased.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed or replaced.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Cleaning Unit: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, benzene, thinner, or abrasive cleaners.
  2. Cleaning Cuff: Wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not immerse in water, bleach, or iron. Allow to dry completely before use.
  3. Storage: Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, dust, and moisture. Do not wrap tube tightly around unit.
  4. Batteries: Replace all 4 batteries when low battery icon appears. Remove batteries if unit will not be used for 3 months or longer.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the unit. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.

Troubleshooting
