Specifications

Initial Setup

Power on device; set date and time.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Connect AC adapter: Plug into device and wall outlet (optional).
  3. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  4. Apply cuff: Wrap D-Ring cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.
  5. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level.

CAUTION! Do not overtighten cuff. Ensure tube is not twisted or pinched.

Taking a Measurement

For most accurate results, measure at same time each day.

  1. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measurement.
  2. Apply cuff correctly on left arm (unless instructed otherwise by physician).
  3. Press START/STOP button to begin inflation.
  4. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  5. Device automatically deflates and displays results.
  6. Results display for 2 minutes before automatic power off.
  7. For multiple readings: Wait 2-3 minutes between measurements.

Tip: Avoid talking or moving during measurement for most accurate reading.

Memory Recall & Averaging

Press MEMORY button to review stored readings.

  1. Memory recall: Press MEMORY to view most recent reading. Press again to scroll through memory.
  2. Average function: Automatically calculates average of last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes.
  3. Clear memory: Press and hold MEMORY while turning power on to clear all memory.
  4. Date/Time stamp: Each reading stored with date and time of measurement.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced if done within 3 minutes.

Care & Maintenance

Remove batteries before extended storage.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth; air dry completely.
  2. Clean main unit with dry soft cloth; do not use solvents.
  3. Store in carrying case in cool, dry place.
  4. Replace batteries when low battery symbol appears.
  5. Have device checked for accuracy every 2 years.
