Setting Up Your Monitor

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment on back, insert 4 AA batteries matching polarity marks.
  2. Connect Cuff: Plug cuff tube connector firmly into the port on left side of monitor.
  3. Set Date and Time: Press MEMORY button, use UP/DOWN arrows to set, press START/STOP to confirm.
  4. Apply Cuff: Wrap cuff on bare upper left arm, 1-2 cm above elbow. Align artery marker with brachial artery.
  5. Position Arm: Rest arm on table with palm up, cuff at heart level. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring.

CAUTION! Ensure cuff is not too tight or too loose. Do not take measurements immediately after eating, bathing, or exercising.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate readings.

  1. Sit comfortably on chair with feet flat on floor, back supported.
  2. Wrap cuff on left upper arm as described in Setup.
  3. Press START/STOP button. Monitor will inflate automatically.
  4. Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not talk or move arm.
  5. Monitor will deflate and display systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate.
  6. Results are automatically stored in memory (if memory not full).
  7. To turn off, press START/STOP again or wait for auto power-off.

Tip: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking. Avoid caffeine, tobacco, and exercise 30 minutes before measuring.

Memory Function

Stores last 30 readings with date and time.

  1. View Memory: Press MEMORY button to display latest reading. Press again to scroll through previous readings.
  2. Clear Memory: When memory is full, oldest reading is automatically overwritten. To clear all, remove batteries for 1 minute (resets date/time).
  3. Average Function: Monitor does not calculate average; record readings manually for tracking.

Note: Memory is retained when replacing batteries if done within 1 minute.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug cuff and remove batteries before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth to wipe monitor and cuff. Do not immerse in water or use harsh chemicals.

CAUTION! Do not wash cuff; spot clean with damp cloth if necessary. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
