Safety Precautions

  2. Do not use during or immediately after physical exercise or bathing.
  3. Do not use on an injured or sore arm.
  4. Do not use in areas with high humidity or near flammable gases.

Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the main components.

  1. Main Unit: Contains display, buttons, and internal pump.
  2. Arm Cuff: Wraps around upper arm with Velcro closure.
  3. Air Tube: Connects cuff to main unit.
  4. START/STOP Button: Initiates and stops measurement.
  5. MEMORY Button: Recalls stored measurements.
  6. Display: Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse, and icons.
  7. AC Adapter Jack: For optional AC power (Model EA11A).
  8. Battery Compartment: Holds 4 AA batteries.

CAUTION! Do not bend or twist the air tube excessively.

Initial Setup

Tip: Avoid taking measurements immediately after eating, smoking, or consuming caffeine.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate results.

  1. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Wrap cuff securely but not too tightly (should fit one finger underneath).
  3. Press START/STOP button. Unit will inflate automatically.
  4. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  5. Reading displays when complete. Cuff deflates automatically.
  6. Record your reading if desired.
  7. Unit turns off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Remove tight clothing from arm.

Understanding the Display

Display shows systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, pulse rate, and icons.

Memory Function

Stores up to 14 readings with date and time.

  1. Press MEMORY button to view stored readings.
  2. Press MEMORY repeatedly to scroll through memory.
  3. Memory number, date, time, and readings display.
  4. To clear all memory: While in memory mode, press and hold MEMORY for 3 seconds.

Note: New readings overwrite oldest when memory is full.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Wipe unit with soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents.
  2. Clean cuff with mild detergent and damp cloth. Air dry completely.
  3. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Replace batteries when low battery symbol appears.
  5. Do not disassemble or attempt repairs.

CAUTION! Do not immerse unit in water. Do not use near oxygen tanks.
