Setting Up Your Monitor

Prepare monitor for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries (not included) observing polarity.
  2. Connect AC adapter: Plug into DC jack on side of unit and into wall outlet (optional).
  3. Set date and time: Press SET button, use UP/DOWN to adjust values, press SET to confirm.
  4. Attach cuff: Insert cuff tube connector into port on left side of unit until it clicks.

CAUTION! Use only specified AC adapter. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Taking a Measurement

For most accurate results, measure at same time each day.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported.
  3. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow with tube facing downward.
  4. Position arm so cuff is at heart level.
  5. Press USER button to select user (1 or 2).
  6. Press START/STOP button to begin inflation.
  7. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  8. Reading displays systolic, diastolic, and pulse.
  9. Unit automatically stores reading in memory.

Tip: Avoid eating, smoking, exercising, or drinking caffeine 30 minutes before measurement.

Memory Function

Stores 100 readings per user with date/time stamp.

  1. Review memory: Press and hold SET button for 3 seconds to enter memory mode.
  2. Use UP/DOWN to scroll through readings.
  3. Average display: Shows average of last 3 readings taken within last 10 minutes.
  4. Clear memory: In memory mode, press and hold START/STOP for 3 seconds to clear current user's memory.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed.

Special Features

Hypertension Detection: Displays symbol if systolic ≥135 mmHg or diastolic ≥85 mmHg. Morning Hypertension Indicator: Shows symbol if morning reading is in hypertension range. Irregular Heartbeat Detection: Displays symbol if irregular rhythm detected. Body Movement Detection: Shows symbol and may restart measurement if movement detected. WHO Indicator: Color-coded display shows optimal, normal, high normal, or hypertension ranges.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water or use chemicals.

  1. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.
  2. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Replace cuff if it becomes damaged or cracked.
  4. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth if soiled; air dry completely.
