Setup & Preparation

Prepare for accurate measurement.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, install 4 AA batteries (or connect AC adapter).
  2. Set date/time: Press SET button, use START/STOP to adjust values.
  3. Apply cuff: Place on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  4. Sit correctly: Sit with back straight, feet flat, arm supported at heart level.

CAUTION! Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes prior.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate results.

  1. Sit quietly for 5 minutes in proper position.
  2. Wrap cuff correctly on left arm (unless specified otherwise by physician).
  3. Press START/STOP button - cuff inflates automatically.
  4. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  5. Reading displays when complete - note systolic, diastolic, and pulse.
  6. Cuff deflates automatically; device stores reading.
  7. Wait 2-3 minutes between measurements on same arm.

Tip: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Stores 100 readings with date/time.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  2. Average function: Displays average of last 3 readings when taking new measurement.
  3. Clear memory: Hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds to erase all stored data.
  4. Memory full: Oldest reading is overwritten when memory exceeds 100 readings.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are replaced if done within 3 minutes.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, benzene, or abrasive cleaners.

  1. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.
  2. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth if soiled; air dry completely.
  4. Do not immerse unit in water or other liquids.
