Safety Precautions

Initial Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.

  3. Apply cuff correctly: Left arm recommended, 1-2 cm above elbow, marker line over artery.
  4. Select user: Press USER 1 or USER 2 button before measurement.

CAUTION! Use only recommended batteries. Remove batteries if not using for extended periods.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Sit comfortably: Rest for 5 minutes before measuring, feet flat on floor, back supported.
  2. Apply cuff: Wrap cuff snugly around bare upper arm at heart level.
  3. Select user: Press USER 1 or USER 2 button.
  4. Start measurement: Press START/STOP button, remain still and quiet during inflation/deflation.
  5. Read results: Systolic, diastolic, and pulse appear on display. Note any warning symbols.
  6. Power off: Monitor turns off automatically after 1 minute, or press START/STOP.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Stores 100 readings for each user with date/time stamp.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings for selected user.
  2. Check average: Display shows average of last three readings taken within 10 minutes.
  3. Clear memory: Press and hold USER button for 3 seconds while in memory mode to clear that user's data.
  4. Memory full indicator: Appears when 100 readings are stored; oldest reading is overwritten.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced if done within 3 minutes.
