  3. Do not take measurements on an arm with an intravenous drip or shunt.
  4. Wait at least 30 minutes after eating, bathing, exercising, or smoking.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate blood pressure measurement.

  1. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported.
  2. Apply cuff to left upper arm (unless instructed otherwise by physician).
  3. Position cuff so air tube runs down center of arm toward palm.
  4. Press START/STOP button to begin inflation.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  6. Read results on display when measurement completes.
  7. Press START/STOP button to turn off monitor.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm.

Understanding the Display

The dual LCD displays show various icons and readings.

Main Display (Left): Shows systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, pulse rate, date/time.

Secondary Display (Right): Shows memory number, user indicator (1 or 2), morning hypertension indicator, irregular heartbeat symbol, body movement symbol, cuff fit indicator, battery level, average reading.

Hypertension Indicator: Green (normal), Yellow (pre-hypertension), Red (hypertension) based on WHO classification.

Memory Function

The monitor stores 200 total readings (100 per user).

  1. Select user: Press USER button to toggle between User 1 and User 2.
  2. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  3. Delete memory: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds to clear current user's memory.
  4. Average reading: Automatically calculates average of last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes.

Note: Memory includes date, time, systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse rate, and any detection symbols.
