Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before use. For accurate measurements and safe operation.

  1. Do not use on infants, young children, or persons who cannot express themselves.
  2. Do not use during physical exercise or immediately after exercise.
  3. Do not wrap cuff over clothing; apply directly to bare upper arm.
  4. Do not use if you suspect the device is damaged or malfunctioning.
  5. Consult your physician for interpretation of measurements and diagnosis.

Parts Identification

Front Panel: LCD Display, START/STOP Button, MEMORY Button, USER Button, Clock Set Button.

Display Symbols: Systolic Pressure, Diastolic Pressure, Pulse Rate, User Indicator (A/B), Memory Full, Irregular Heartbeat, Hypertension, Low Battery, Date/Time.

Cuff: Arm tube, D-ring, Air plug, Index line (for proper fit).

Initial Setup

Before first use: Install batteries or connect AC adapter, set date and time.

  1. Battery installation: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. AC adapter: Plug adapter into DC jack on side of unit, then into wall outlet.
  3. Set date/time: Press and hold CLOCK button, use START/STOP to adjust values.
  4. Cuff preparation: Ensure cuff is not twisted and air tube is connected securely.

CAUTION! Use only specified AC adapter. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Taking a Measurement

For most accurate results, measure at the same time each day, before meals or medication.

  1. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported, arm resting on table.
  2. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm, 1-2 cm above elbow. Align artery marker with brachial artery.
  3. Secure cuff snugly using D-ring. Tube should run down center of arm.
  4. Press START/STOP button. Unit will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not move arm or talk.
  6. Reading displays when complete. Unit deflates automatically.
  7. To turn off, press START/STOP again or wait for auto power-off.

Tip: Wait at least 5 minutes between measurements on the same person.

Understanding the Display

LCD shows systolic/diastolic pressure (mmHg), pulse rate (bpm), and status symbols.

Symbol Guide: User A/B icon, Memory position number, Date/Time, Hypertension symbol (if systolic ≥135 or diastolic ≥85), Irregular heartbeat symbol (if detected), WHO indicator bar (Green=Normal, Yellow=Pre-hypertension, Red=Hypertension).

Error Codes: E1 - Cuff not properly attached, E2 - Measurement error, E3 - Irregular pulse detected, E4 - Cuff pressure too high.

Memory Function

Stores 100 readings per user with date/time stamp.

  1. Select user: Press USER button to toggle between User A and User B.
  2. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  3. Clear memory: While in memory mode, press and hold MEMORY for 3 seconds.
  4. Average reading: Displays average of last 3 readings taken in the past 10 minutes.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed or replaced.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug or remove batteries before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth only.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth if soiled. Air dry completely.
  2. Do not immerse unit in water or use abrasive cleaners.
  3. Store in carrying case when not in use, in cool dry place.
  4. Replace batteries when low battery symbol appears.
  5. Avoid extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, and direct sunlight.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble or attempt repairs. No user-serviceable parts inside.
