Getting Started

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Connect AC adapter: Plug into DC jack on side of unit (optional for home use).
  3. Apply cuff: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.
  4. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level.
  5. Power on: Press START/STOP button to begin.

CAUTION! Ensure cuff is properly positioned for accurate readings. Avoid talking or moving during measurement.

Controls and Display

Button Functions: START/STOP: Begin/stop measurement. MEMORY: Recall stored readings. SET: Set date/time (hold for 3 seconds).

Display Features: Backlight activates during measurement, Hypertension indicator lights if systolic ≥135 or diastolic ≥85 mmHg, Irregular heartbeat symbol appears if detected, WHO color bar shows green/yellow/red zones.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate readings.

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported and feet flat on floor.
  2. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  3. Apply cuff to left upper arm (unless instructed otherwise by physician).
  4. Position cuff at heart level.
  5. Press START/STOP button.
  6. Remain still and quiet during inflation and measurement.
  7. Read results on display when measurement completes.
  8. Press START/STOP to turn off or wait for auto power-off.

Tip: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking. Avoid caffeine, exercise, or smoking 30 minutes before measuring.

Memory Function

Stores up to 14 readings with date and time.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to cycle through stored readings.
  2. Memory full: Oldest reading is overwritten when memory exceeds 14 readings.
  3. Clear memory: Remove batteries for 1 minute to clear all memory (date/time must be reset).
  4. Average function: Display shows average of last 3 readings when in memory mode.

Note: Memory is maintained by batteries. Replace batteries within 3 minutes to preserve memory.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water or use chemicals.

  1. Cuff care: Wipe with damp cloth if soiled. Do not machine wash.
  2. Unit cleaning: Use dry cloth only. No liquids on display or buttons.
  3. Storage: Keep in storage case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Battery replacement: Replace when battery symbol appears on display.
