Device Overview

Initial Setup

Power on the device and configure basic settings.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries (optional if using AC adapter).
  2. Connect AC adapter: Plug into port and wall outlet for continuous power.
  3. Set date and time: Press and hold DATE/TIME SET, use START/STOP to adjust values.
  4. Cuff placement: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm, align artery marker with brachial artery.

CAUTION! Ensure cuff is snug but not too tight. Arm should be supported at heart level during measurement.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow these steps.

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported and feet flat on the floor.
  2. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  3. Wrap cuff on left upper arm (unless instructed otherwise by physician).
  4. Press START/STOP. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  6. Reading displays with systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate.
  7. Cuff deflates automatically. Record reading if desired.
  8. To power off, press START/STOP again or wait for auto shut-off.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory & Data Review

Stores up to 200 readings with date and time.

  1. Press MEMORY button to enter review mode.
  2. Use START/STOP to scroll through memory sets (newest to oldest).
  3. Each set shows systolic, diastolic, pulse, date, time, and any detection symbols.
  4. To clear all memory: While in review mode, press and hold MEMORY for 5 seconds until display resets.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed or power is disconnected.

Special Features

Hypertension Detection: If systolic reading is ≥135 mmHg or diastolic ≥85 mmHg, hypertension symbol flashes. Irregular Heartbeat Detection: If an irregular rhythm is detected during measurement, symbol appears. Last Reading Display: Upon power on, the most recent reading is shown briefly.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug or remove batteries before cleaning. Wipe unit with soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water. Store in provided case in a cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Do not use alcohol, benzene, or abrasive cleaners. Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity.
