Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the monitor components.

Main Unit: Contains display, control buttons, and internal pump.
Display: Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse, icons, date/time, and memory.
Arm Cuff: Wraps around upper arm with Velcro closure and air tube.
Air Tube: Connects cuff to main unit.
START/STOP Button: Initiates and stops measurement.
Memory Buttons (User 1/User 2): Select user memory and recall stored readings.
AC Adapter Port: For optional external power (Model EA11A).
Battery Compartment: Holds 4 AA batteries.

CAUTION! Do not bend or kink the air tube. Ensure cuff is not twisted.

Initial Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 new AA batteries observing polarity.
Set Date and Time: Press and hold the User 1 and User 2 buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. Use START/STOP to adjust values.
Apply Cuff: Sit quietly for 5 minutes. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Ensure tube runs down center of arm.
Position: Sit with back straight, feet flat, arm supported at heart level. Remain still and quiet.

Tip: For most accurate results, take measurements at the same time each day.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for a proper reading.

Press the User 1 or User 2 button to select your memory profile.
Wrap the cuff correctly (see Initial Setup).
Press the START/STOP button. The monitor will inflate automatically.
Remain still and quiet until measurement is complete and cuff deflates.
Read your systolic/diastolic pressure and pulse rate on the display.
Note any icons (irregular heartbeat, hypertension, body movement).
The reading will automatically save to the selected user's memory.
To turn off, press START/STOP again or wait for auto power-off.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff without it being wrapped on your arm.

Memory Function

Store and review past readings.

Storage: Up to 100 readings per user (200 total).
Viewing: Press and hold the User 1 or User 2 button to scroll through that user's readings.
Average: The display shows the average of the last three readings taken within 10 minutes.
Clearing Memory: With the unit off, press and hold both User 1 and User 2 buttons for 5 seconds until "CLR" appears. Release to clear all memory for both users.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed.

Understanding Your Readings

Interpret the display symbols and values.

Systolic Pressure (top number)	Pressure in arteries when heart beats.
Diastolic Pressure (bottom number)	Pressure in arteries when heart rests between beats.
Pulse Rate	Heartbeats per minute.
Irregular Heartbeat Icon	Appears if an irregular rhythm is detected. Consult physician if frequent.
Hypertension Indicator	Appears if systolic ≥135 mmHg or diastolic ≥85 mmHg.
Body Movement Icon	Appears if excessive movement is detected. Retake measurement.
Memory Icon	Indicates which user memory is active (1 or 2).
Low Battery Icon	Replace batteries soon.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter (if used) and remove batteries before cleaning.

Wipe main unit and cuff with a soft, dry cloth.
Do not immerse in water or use harsh chemicals.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Do not store with the cuff tightly wrapped.
Inspect cuff and tube periodically for cracks or wear.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the unit. Contact Omron for service.

Battery Information

Type: 4 AA alkaline batteries (LR6).
Approx. Battery Life: 300 measurements (without backlight).
Low Battery Indicator: Icon appears on display. Replace all 4 batteries promptly.
Replacement: Open compartment, remove old batteries, insert new ones with correct polarity (+/-).
AC Adapter (optional): Use Omron Model EA11A AC Adapter (input 100-240V AC). Do not use other adapters.

Note: Remove batteries if the monitor will not be used for 3 months or longer.

Troubleshooting
