Setup and Preparation

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Connect AC adapter (optional): Plug adapter into DC jack on side of unit.
  3. Apply cuff: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  4. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level, palm up, relax.

CAUTION! Do not apply cuff over clothing. Ensure cuff fits snugly but not too tight.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate measurement.

  1. Sit comfortably: Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Apply cuff correctly: As described in Setup section.
  3. Start measurement: Press START/STOP button, unit will inflate automatically.
  4. Remain still: Do not talk or move during measurement.
  5. Read results: Systolic, diastolic pressures and pulse rate display after deflation.
  6. Interpret symbols: Check for irregular heartbeat or hypertension indicators.
  7. Store reading: Automatically saved to memory (if memory not full).
  8. Power off: Unit turns off automatically after 2 minutes.

Tip: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Stores up to 30 readings with date and time.

  1. View memory: Press Memory button to display most recent reading.
  2. Scroll through memory: Press Memory button repeatedly to view older readings.
  3. Clear memory: Hold Memory button for 5 seconds until "CLr" appears (clears all readings).
  4. Memory full: "FUL" appears when memory is full; oldest reading is overwritten.

Note: Removing batteries will not erase memory (backup capacitor maintains memory for approximately 5 minutes).

Care & Maintenance

Clean with soft, dry cloth only. Do not immerse in water or use chemicals.

  1. Cuff care: Wipe with damp cloth if soiled, air dry completely.
  2. Storage: Keep in storage case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Battery replacement: Replace when battery icon appears empty.
  4. Unit cleaning: Use dry cloth; never use alcohol, benzene, or thinner.
