Initial Setup

Power on the device and configure basic settings.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold the MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Connect cuff: Plug air tube firmly into the port on the side of the monitor.
  4. Pair with Omron Connect App: Enable Bluetooth® on your smartphone, open app, and follow prompts.

Tip: For most accurate readings, use the AC adapter when possible to ensure consistent power.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, remain still and quiet during measurement.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking for 30 minutes prior.
  2. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported, and arm resting on a table at heart level.
  3. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Align artery mark with brachial artery.
  4. Press USER 1 or USER 2 button to select your profile.
  5. Press START/STOP. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still until measurement is complete. Results display with pulse reading.
  7. To turn off, press START/STOP again or wait 1 minute for auto power-off.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Ensure cuff is not too tight or loose.

Using the Omron Connect App

The app stores, tracks, and shares your blood pressure data.

  1. Download "Omron Connect" from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Create an account and profile.
  3. Enable Bluetooth® on your phone and ensure monitor is nearby.
  4. Open app and tap "Add Device". Select BP786N from list.
  5. Follow on-screen pairing instructions.
  6. After each measurement, data syncs automatically to the app for trend viewing and PDF reports.
