Safety Precautions

  2. Consult your physician before use if you have arrhythmia, pre-eclampsia, or other circulatory disorders.
  3. Do not use the monitor on an injured or sore arm.
  4. Do not modify the cuff or tubing.
  5. Keep the monitor away from children and pets.

Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the monitor components.

  1. Main Unit: Contains LCD display, control buttons, and internal pump.
  2. Arm Cuff: Wraps around upper arm with Velcro closure and air tube connector.
  3. AC Adapter Jack: Located on the side of the unit.
  4. Memory Buttons (User 1/User 2): For selecting user memory profile.
  5. SET Button: For setting date, time, and user options.

CAUTION! Ensure the cuff is the correct size for your arm circumference (22-42 cm). Using an incorrect size will affect accuracy.

Initial Setup

Insert batteries or connect AC adapter, set date/time, and apply cuff correctly.

  1. Power: Insert 4 AA batteries or plug in the AC adapter.
  2. Date/Time: Press SET, use arrows to adjust, press START/STOP to confirm.
  3. Cuff Application: Place cuff on bare left upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Secure snugly.
  4. Positioning: Sit comfortably with back straight, feet flat, arm supported at heart level.
  5. Rest for 5 minutes before first measurement.

Tip: For most accurate results, take measurements at the same time each day, before meals or medication.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for a proper reading.

  1. Select User: Press MEMORY button for User 1 or User 2.
  2. Apply Cuff: As described in Initial Setup.
  3. Start: Press START/STOP. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  4. Remain Still: Sit quietly without talking or moving until measurement is complete.
  5. Reading: Systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will display.
  6. Store: Reading is automatically saved to selected user's memory.
  7. Deflate: Cuff deflates automatically. Remove cuff.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm. Do not take measurements more than 3 times in a row; wait 5 minutes between attempts.

Understanding Results

Note: Home readings may differ from clinical readings. Share your log with your physician.

Memory Function

Review past readings and track trends.

Viewing Memory: Press MEMORY button for desired user. Use arrows to scroll through stored readings with date/time.

Average Reading: Press AVERAGE button to see the average of the last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes for the selected user.

Clearing Memory: While in memory mode, press and hold SET button for 3 seconds until "CLR" appears. Confirm to clear that user's memory.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug or remove batteries before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water or use solvents.

  1. Cuff: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent. Air dry completely.
  2. Storage: Keep in provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Batteries: Replace when low battery icon appears. Use alkaline batteries.
  4. Tubing: Do not bend or kink the air tube.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the unit. No user-serviceable parts inside.
