Parts Identification

Front Panel: LCD Display, START/STOP Button, Memory Button, User Button (1/2), Clock Button.

Display Symbols: User 1/2 indicator, Systolic pressure, Diastolic pressure, Pulse rate, Hypertension indicator, Irregular heartbeat symbol, Body movement symbol, Low battery, Memory full, Date/Time.

Side/Rear: AC adapter jack, Air plug connector, Cuff storage clip.

Initial Setup

Insert batteries or connect AC adapter.

  1. Set date and time: Press CLOCK button, use START/STOP to adjust values, press MEMORY to confirm.
  2. Select user: Press USER button to select User 1 or User 2 before measurement.
  3. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Ensure tube runs down center of arm.
  4. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level. Sit still with feet flat on floor.

CAUTION! Ensure cuff is correctly sized and positioned for accurate readings.

Taking a Measurement

Remain still and quiet during measurement.

  1. Select user: Press USER button (User 1 or User 2).
  2. Wrap cuff: Secure snugly but not too tight.
  3. Press START/STOP: Unit inflates automatically. Remain still.
  4. Reading displayed: Systolic, diastolic, and pulse appear. Hypertension/Irregular heartbeat symbols if detected.
  5. Cuff deflates: Automatically after measurement.
  6. Power off: Unit turns off automatically after 1 minute.

Tip: Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes before measurement.

Memory Function

Stores 100 readings per user.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button. Display shows average of last 3 readings.
  2. Scroll readings: Press START/STOP to scroll through individual readings with date/time.
  3. Clear memory: Hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds until "CLR" flashes. Press START/STOP to clear current user's memory.
  4. Switch users: Press USER button to view other user's memory.

Note: Memory full indicator appears when 100 readings are stored.

Special Features

Hypertension Detection: Symbol appears if systolic ≥135 mmHg or diastolic ≥85 mmHg.

Irregular Heartbeat Detection: Symbol appears if irregular rhythm is detected during measurement.

Body Movement Detection: Measurement pauses and symbol appears if movement is detected.

Average Reading: Displays average of last 3 readings taken within last 10 minutes.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water or use chemicals.

  1. Cuff care: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent. Air dry completely.
  2. Storage: Store in provided case in cool, dry place.
  3. Batteries: Replace when low battery symbol appears. Use 4 AA batteries.
  4. AC adapter: Use only specified adapter (HEM-AC-AD1).

CAUTION! Do not disassemble or attempt repairs. No user-serviceable parts inside.
