Setting Up the Monitor

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Connect AC adapter: Plug into AC port and wall outlet (optional).
  3. Set date and time: Press SET button, use START/STOP to adjust values.
  4. Attach cuff: Connect cuff tube to cuff port until it clicks.

Tip: For most accurate readings, use AC adapter or fresh alkaline batteries.

Taking a Measurement

Proper technique ensures accurate results.

  1. Sit comfortably: Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.
  3. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level.
  4. Start measurement: Press START/STOP button.
  5. Remain still: Do not talk or move during inflation and measurement.
  6. View results: Systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate display automatically.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm. Do not take measurements more than 3 times consecutively.

  5. Clear memory: Hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds while in memory mode.

Note: Memory stores date and time with each reading. Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced.
