Initial Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Apply cuff: Sit comfortably, rest arm on table, wrap cuff snugly around bare upper arm.
  4. Position cuff: Ensure cuff is 1-2 cm above elbow, air tube aligned with middle of arm.
  5. Select user: Press MEMORY button to toggle between User 1 and User 2.

Tip: For most accurate results, take measurements at the same time each day, before medication or meals.

Taking a Measurement

Follow proper procedure for accurate readings.

  1. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measurement.
  2. Sit in a chair with feet flat on floor, back supported.
  3. Place cuff on left arm (or right arm if instructed by physician).
  4. Rest arm on table with palm up, cuff at heart level.
  5. Press START/STOP button. Monitor will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during inflation and measurement.
  7. Reading appears on display with systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate.
  8. Cuff deflates automatically. Press START/STOP to turn off if needed.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Ensure cuff is not too tight or loose.

Memory Function

Store and review past measurements.

  1. Memory automatically stores each reading with date and time.
  2. Press MEMORY button to recall stored readings.
  3. Use START/STOP to scroll through readings for current user.
  4. Average of last 3 readings is displayed when memory is accessed.
  5. To clear memory: Remove batteries for 5 minutes (clears all data).

Note: Memory is divided between User 1 and User 2 (50 readings each).

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth; do not immerse in water.
  2. Clean main unit with dry, soft cloth; do not use solvents or abrasives.
  3. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  4. Remove batteries if not using for extended period (more than 3 months).
  5. Replace cuff if it becomes damaged or shows signs of wear.

CAUTION! Do not autoclave, sterilize, or wash cuff in washing machine. Do not bend air tube sharply.
