Familiarize yourself with the main components of the device.

CAUTION! Handle the air tube carefully to prevent damage. Do not bend or kink the tube.

Initial Setup

Prepare the device for first use by installing batteries and setting the clock.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment on back, insert 4 AA batteries matching polarity marks.
  2. Set Date & Time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds. Use START/STOP to adjust values, MEMORY to confirm.
  3. Connect Cuff: Insert air tube connector into jack on side of unit until it clicks.
  4. Apply Cuff: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before first measurement.

Tip: For consistent readings, take measurements at the same time each day, before meals or medication.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate blood pressure readings.

  1. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported, and arm resting on table at heart level.
  2. Wrap cuff around bare upper arm 0.5-1 inch above elbow. Tube should run down center of arm.
  3. Press START/STOP button. All display symbols will appear briefly, then cuff will inflate automatically.
  4. Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not talk or move your arm.
  5. Cuff will deflate automatically. Systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse will display.
  6. Reading is automatically stored in memory for current user. Device powers off after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm. Excessive pressure may damage device.

Memory Function

The device stores up to 100 total readings (50 per user).

  1. Select User: Press USER button to toggle between User 1 and User 2.
  2. View Memory: Press MEMORY button once to see average of last 3 readings. Press again to scroll through individual readings with date/time.
  3. Clear Memory: While in memory mode, press and hold MEMORY for 3 seconds to clear all readings for current user.
  4. Memory Full: When memory is full, oldest reading is automatically deleted when new one is stored.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are replaced if done within 3 minutes.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and extends device life.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or use solvents.
  2. Wipe main unit with dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  3. Store in provided case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Remove batteries if device will not be used for 3 months or more.
  5. Replace cuff if it becomes damaged, cracked, or fails to hold pressure.
