Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before use. Consult your physician for interpretation of readings.

  1. Do not use on infants, small children, or persons who cannot express themselves.
  2. Do not use on an arm with an intravenous drip or surgical wound.
  3. Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm.
  4. Use only specified AC adapter. Do not disassemble or modify the unit.
  5. Keep device away from extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, and direct sunlight.

Parts Identification

Front of Main Unit: LCD Display, START/STOP Button, Memory Button, User Button (1/2), Power Adapter Jack.

Cuff: Arm tube, Cloth wrap, Metal D-ring, Air plug, Range index line.

Display Symbols: Systolic/Diastolic/Pulse readings, User indicator, Memory full, Battery low, Hypertension indicator, Irregular heartbeat symbol, Body movement symbol, Date/Time, AVG indicator.

Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Power the monitor using batteries or AC adapter.

  1. Open battery compartment on back of unit.
  2. Insert 4 AA batteries (LR6) observing correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close compartment. For AC power, plug adapter into unit and wall outlet.
  4. Set date and time: Press and hold Memory button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust, press Memory to confirm.

CAUTION! Use only recommended batteries. Remove batteries if device will not be used for 3 months or more to prevent leakage.

Applying the Cuff

Tip: For consistent results, take measurements at the same time each day, avoiding meals, caffeine, exercise, or smoking for 30 minutes prior.

Taking a Measurement

  1. Sit in a chair with feet flat on floor and back supported.
  2. Apply cuff correctly as described.
  3. Press the User button (1 or 2) to select your memory profile.
  4. Press START/STOP. Cuff will inflate automatically. Remain still and quiet.
  5. Measurement completes when cuff deflates fully. Readings display.
  6. To turn unit off, press START/STOP again, or it will power off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Ensure cuff is at heart level for accurate results.

Understanding the Display

Systolic Pressure: Top number (e.g., 120). Diastolic Pressure: Bottom number (e.g., 80). Pulse Rate: Beats per minute.

Symbol Guide:
User 1/2: Indicates which user's memory is active.
Hypertension Indicator: Flashes if systolic ≥135 mmHg or diastolic ≥85 mmHg.
Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: Appears if an irregular rhythm is detected.
Body Movement Symbol: Appears if excessive movement occurred.
AVG: Shows when average of last 3 readings is displayed.
Memory Full: Appears when 100 readings for that user are stored.
Low Battery: Indicates batteries need replacement.

Memory Function

Stores up to 100 readings per user with date and time.

  1. View memory: Press Memory button. Use START/STOP to scroll through readings.
  2. View average: While in memory mode, press User button to display average of all stored readings for that user.
  3. Delete memory: Press and hold User button for 3 seconds while in memory mode. "CLR" appears. Press User again to confirm deletion for that user.

Note: Memory is retained even when batteries are removed.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Wipe main unit and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasives.
  2. Do not immerse any part in water. Do not wash cuff in washing machine.
  3. Store in provided case in a cool, dry place. Avoid bending air tube sharply.
  4. Replace cuff if it becomes damaged or excessively worn.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the unit. Contact Omron for service.
