Device Overview

Familiarize yourself with the device controls and display.

  1. Front Panel: START/STOP button, Memory button, User button (1/2).
  2. Display: Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse rate, date/time, user indicator, memory index, hypertension indicator, irregular heartbeat symbol, body movement detection icon, WHO bar graph, battery indicator.
  3. Cuff Port: Connects cuff tube to main unit.
  4. AC Adapter Port: For external power connection.

CAUTION! Handle with care; avoid dropping the device.

Specifications

Before First Use

Prepare the device for initial measurement.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold Memory button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Connect cuff: Insert cuff tube into cuff port until it clicks.
  4. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  5. Rest comfortably: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before first measurement.

Tip: For most accurate results, measure at the same time each day.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate blood pressure measurement.

  1. Sit correctly: Sit on chair with feet flat on floor, back supported.
  2. Apply cuff: Wrap cuff snugly around bare upper arm, tube facing downward.
  3. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level.
  4. Start measurement: Press START/STOP button, remain still and quiet.
  5. Read results: Display shows systolic/diastolic pressure and pulse rate.
  6. Store reading: Measurement is automatically stored in memory.
  7. Remove cuff: After measurement completes, carefully remove cuff.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Ensure cuff is at heart level.

Memory Function

Store and review previous measurements.

  1. Select user: Press User button to toggle between User 1 and User 2.
  2. View memory: Press Memory button to scroll through stored readings.
  3. Average reading: Display shows average of last 3 readings for selected user.
  4. Clear memory: To clear all readings for a user, remove batteries for 1 minute while holding START/STOP button.

Note: Memory is maintained when changing batteries if done within 1 minute.

Care & Maintenance

Keep your device clean and functioning properly.

  1. Clean casing: Use soft, dry cloth only. Do not use solvents or abrasives.
  2. Clean cuff: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent, then air dry completely.
  3. Store properly: Keep in storage case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Inspect regularly: Check cuff for wear or damage; replace if necessary.

CAUTION! Do not immerse device in water. Do not autoclave or sterilize.
